WorkMechanic CRM

Workshop software that runs in the cloud, from intake to a fiscalized invoice.

A car workshop ran on an older workshop program and a separate tool for invoices. We built one web application for the whole job, which they can open from anywhere. It's now a product for other workshops too.

Built for
A car workshop in Croatia, then offered as a product
Used by
Workshop administrators and mechanics
Covers
Clients and vehicles, appointments, offers, work orders, stock, suppliers, invoices and branches
Our part
All of it
A tablet on the reception counter of a car workshop shows the Mechanic CRM dashboard with open work orders, unpaid invoices, open offers and low stock. A car key with a numbered tag lies in front of it; behind, a mechanic works under a car on a lift.

What was it replacing?

An older workshop program, and a separate tool for invoices.

Tools
Two programs that didn't know about each other.
One application for clients, vehicles, work orders, stock and invoices.
Invoices
Written in the invoicing tool, apart from the work that was done.
Made from the work order and fiscalized under Croatian tax rules.
Where it works
At the workshop.
In a browser, wherever the owner happens to be.

What does it cover?

The whole job, from the first call to the invoice.

None of these steps is new to anyone who runs a workshop. What matters is that each one continues from the last, in one place.

  1. Appointment The client and the vehicle are on record, and the visit is booked.
  2. Offer Parts and labour are priced and sent to the client before work starts.
  3. Work order Mechanics work from it, and the parts they use come off stock.
  4. Invoice Created from the work order and fiscalized. Suppliers' invoices are recorded in the same system.

So what's different about it?

It runs in the cloud, which is still rare for workshop software.

There's nothing to install and no computer in the office that everything depends on. The same application opens on the reception tablet, a laptop at home or a phone. If the owner is out on an errand when a client comes to collect a car, the invoice can still be issued.

The workshop's branches all work in the same system.

Whose product is it?

Ours. Built for one workshop first, then offered to others.
